Portal to Bitcoin Announcement

Portal to Bitcoin (PORTAL) is a protocol that allows users to swap native Bitcoin with other blockchains without custody. It has launched its native token, PTB, on seven major crypto exchanges, enhancing access and liquidity for its holders. In recent months, Portal has shown significant growth, processing over 18 million transactions, receiving more than 1.3 million downloads on the Chrome webstore, and creating over 850,000 wallets, with 73% of users actively engaged.

The project has secured $92 million in funding from prominent investors and has initiated a $50 million ecosystem fund to support developers and partnerships. More than half of Bitcoin Layer 2 solutions have begun integrating with Portal’s liquidity router. The total supply of the PORTAL token is fixed at 8.4 billion, with an issuance model that decreases over time, similar to Bitcoin’s halving mechanism. Each transaction incurs a 0.3% fee, with half allocated to repurchase and burn PORTAL tokens, reducing supply.

The distribution model rewards liquidity providers, validators, and lite nodes. Community members receive airdrops, especially at the token generation event, while reserves are locked to maintain stability. This strategy offers immediate rewards and potential long-term benefits from a deflationary supply as adoption grows.

Portal’s offerings go beyond swaps; it includes the Portal Wallet with multi-currency support, a Swap SDK for easy integration with other wallets and DEXs, and RAFA-AI, an AI investing assistant for advanced traders. The team is comprised of experienced professionals, including Dr. Chandra Duggirala, who invented cross-chain atomic swaps, and experts from various technology backgrounds.

With PORTAL launching on major exchanges and a strong economic model, the company aims to position Bitcoin as a key financial tool for both the internet and traditional finance, supported by strong engagement metrics and a sustainable token structure. Portal’s technological framework includes BitScaler, PortalOS, the Portal Wallet, Swap SDK, and RAFA-AI, backed by substantial funding from notable investors.
